  • Lots of blacks are very scared to 'come out'....i love the fact that I am courageous and OUT.

  • Indeed. Stay strong. I love it!! You are not alone at all. There are MANY of us, including in the bible belt. Even black women atheist like me.

  • Stay strong you are not alone.

  • It's very sad that your family can't manage to be more supportive of the service you are giving your country, no matter what differences there may be in your respective world views. Shame on them. I have been an atheist since the 80's and my husband and I still put up a tree and celebrate the Christmas holidays every year. We just eliminate the religion part and get down with the family time.

  • Good to hear your story.

  • thats very unfortunate. i just told my mom how i felt not too long ago, and she got so angry with me and said ofcoarse, she said all she can do is pray for me. good for you for fighting.

  • You are a fighter! I am peaceful, I try not to create drama. You inspire me to be more open about religion.

  • many claim that religion is what bring people together but it is also what tears them apart...
