How could you not like this album? So experiental and different. Like Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys.

My dad and I are actually extremely good friends with the Flaming Lips and my dad knew them before they knew how to play instruments!

I used to listen to the Clouds Taste Metallic over and over and over in my old shop. Loved it. This is one of the best indie sounding albums of all time. It's rather depressing and downtrodden but is counteracted by really upbeat moments of rock and levity. What an incredibly diverse album. Would easily make my short list of best albums of all time. Ok Computer by Radiohead as well! GO FLAMING LIPS!! You guys rock!

I agree with viper8red... this was an overlooked album. The Lips were spectacular on this tour. All the songs on this are quirky and somehow off-kilter. This was a great era for them.
