As far as the tin can goes, I keep my fishing stuff part of my wilderness kit inside a can that can double as a real (along with snares and other things).

im a trapper by trade.....there are way ,way easyer methodes of making squirrel traps and snares.. this trap type is not very effective and im shure the trout would get bigger in the pond just have to fish some more...
