  • May I ask which water pump you used? I've been looking for one that is inline and pumps in both directions, but without much luck... they seem to be pump-in-one-direction-only type. Pumping water out of a (submerged) tank tends to leave a vacuum, which most water pumps can not handle.

This is a great/simple idea and one I will be looking at for prototyping sub systems. How did you water-proof the insides to prevent water from getting in through the prop shaft etc? Or did it even matter?

  • @WhatDoesThisButtonDo

The water pump I used was Robbe's model number 1-1568.

There were not any specific systems to keep the water out from the hull and there are some small leaks because of that.

  • made from plans?

  • @getmeoutofiraq05 No, there were no plans exciting at the time I started the project. The submarine you see in this video has came fully out of my own head. Designing the sub completely out of scratch was a challenge, but not an impossible one.

  • @getmeoutofiraq05 Yes, I made this from plans that came out of my own head.

  • This is FANTASTIC! Bravo!!! I have been researching RC Submarines for more than a year now and this is the BEST idea for it's price. I have learnt a lot from you through this video. Self proclaimed experts , please take note, this guy can teach you how to do it for a fraction of the price. Thanks a ton!

  • @veecee27 It's really nice to hear that my video has been helpful for you. Thanks for your comment!
