UKTV BrightIdeas closes down at 6pm every evening, and without fail uses this sequence. Rather boringly, other UKTV Channels do almost the same, with a different announcer normally following the same format "That's it from UKTV [channel] for today/tonight, but there's plenty to watch on the other channels on the UKTV network. Have a good night."
The channel ceases broadcasting on October 14th, 2007. Here's hoping they do something a little more special on that day.
Sky's bought out Virgin Media and it channels so soon Channel One, Bravo, Challenge, Living and any others will close in 2011. Don't believe me? Check out "Sky EPG" in Wikipedia.

UKTV is run by virgin media, they just repeat stuff from BBC they have to get money somehow by advertising but it is annoying how they cut sometimes even 30 whole minutes of the show out to make it fit into an hour. bbc isnt without adverts because it is a big channel but because it was the first channel ever on tv and they had no other way to get money than to make people pay tv licence, they just kept onwiththe tv licence becuase then they will nevr need to advertise :D

The BBC owns a majority share of UKTV, and is one of there main investors. Without BBC, there wouldn't be a UKTV as we know it. :P

If the BBC didn't exist then maybe UKTV would have been the major british channels? I hope so, maybe then they'd get rid of all their FREAKING ADVERTS XD
