This is an isorhythmic motet, a composition in which melodic lines (color) are played on the same rhythmic pattern (talea) repeated as many times as necessary.
An amazing trick which nevertheless allows great composers like Dufay to make beautiful music !

I'd like myself to publish another one. I'm only a little frightened about copyright concerns. While one track may be felt as a motivation to get the CD, several ones from the same CD might make the label and the performers get angry ?!

@krtek00857 in all his isorythmic motets, combine a slower moving tenor, a cantus firmus based on plainchant, with faster moving upper voice....according tohoward myer brown....

That final cadence is so incredible and bizarre - sounds like Machaut on hallucinogens. Love it.
