He uses a lot of mics. My band recorded our demo with him. He miced my drum set with 14 fucking mics. I only play a 4 piece but there was 14 mics on it. He's a funny dude.

Dam!! Steve Albini always gets it right with the drums. Almost everyone pop band records there records with pro tools. To me the drums almost sound like they are banging on a table or desk rather than on a snare. When Phonovectra recorded with Steve, the drums were just astounding!

No, they just got a pro tools rig at Electrical Audio. Mr. Albini doesn't use it though.
