  • @calebMTurberville--I totally agree. The other thing I miss was the patriotism that resulted in Americans across the country but was shortlived.

  • I always watch video footage of the second attack, and for the most part they warn viewers about strong language. Honestly who cares about people dropping the F-Bomb. Given the situation, hearing strong language is nothing by comparison and is the least thing to worry about.

  • @phillyvideofan Gee..I wonder why that patriotism was so short lived my man...hmmmm

  • I hope this doesn't seem shallow, but one thing I do appreciate about that time in American history (even if it was for a few short weeks) was the fact that everybody got completely honest. Take for instance, this video, the CBS could've censored it...but when thousands of people are dying, a few "fucks" in the middle of a broadcast don't mean a hell of a lot, do they.

Thank you CBS for treating us like adults on that very horrendous day.

  • @fayeslover I lived in DE when it happened. I was 13 and in school. Many teachers and students on the first floor of my school and we saw this happen. It was very scary. Something we will never forget.

  • I remember being half-asleep on 9/11/2001 and hearing my dad, who was working as a court security officer in Dallas, leave a message on the machine saying that he had to evacuate the building due to two planes hitting the WTC. I went to the living room and watched the news unfold in front of my own eyes. I can understand the strong language in this clip--because it captured that moment in which everyone around the country was shocked and dismayed by what they saw.

  • Tears..eternal tears, anytime you look back..

  • @braedon1986 us too. and i live in delaware, which is 2 hours away from dc and nyc, so it was really scary for us
