The Clone Wars alternate opening - with crawl

I absolutely love the new animated "Clone Wars" TV series, but I can't help thinking that the opening of each episode would look better with the traditional Star Wars text crawl rather than the voice-over they use. After all, it was early serials like "Flash Gordon", the precursors to today's television shows, that invented the "opening crawl" (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGbSOEWRgu0 at 1:20). So I made this opening to the 3rd episode "Shadow of Malevolence" using the exact words spoken by the voice-over guy for the crawl text.

What do you think? Is this a better way of opening each episode of the TV show?

@mitrooper I used 3ds max 8 for the crawl and Adobe After Effects to stitch it all together.

I always wondered why they never used the opening crawl in the series. Maybe its to invoke that 40s radio announcer during World War II since the sereis is about a war or since its a kid's show he assumed reading the crawl would be a bore
