Jaws Peahi December 7th 2009 The biggest swell in several years....

Dec 7, 2009 Peahi Maui Big Wave Tow-In Surfing.
Jaws received some of the nicest waves in years. The whole state of Hawaii was under a high surf warning and waves were as high as 30feet plus. The entire Tow Surf Elite was out there catching some of the biggest waves this winter. Laird Hamilton, Sebastian Steudtner and Dave Kalama were the big names that day, we heard that Gerry Lopez was out there as well. At time 1.39 to 1.44 you can see Laird and Sebastian on the same wave. The wave that Sebastian won the bigwave award 2010 with. The left was bigger on that set than the right. Due to my angle with the camera to the wave, my set up to film the left was not very good so I followed Laird with my camera to the end of his ride.
