I wanted to get 4 green LED fans, but now only was I short on money, but they only had a blue LED fan. The 2 on the side of the xbox I pryed from 2 old PC power supplys. Took me about 1 hour for the first set of fans (Ones on the side), and 20 miniutes for the second set (The ones at the exhaust grill).

Thanks man :D.

  • @mattjames1978 yea i no the solder also disconnects from the GPU over heating and flexing from the board but a majority of the time its a simple thermal paste repair, i fix laptops and p.c.s for a living and the ammount of GPU's that have the same problem is unreal so b4 u go shouting "o its a typical noob" pull ya head out ur arse, ok mate!

  • @marticent stupid boy. Read about the BGA. The solder gets knackered. Typical n00b with no fookin brains

  • You Sound Like Edge 0:07

  • i put mine in the Mini Freezer when i go to play it.

  • The 360s red ringed because of cold solder joints, not because of thermal paste. The processor heating up actually helps the thermal paste because it needs time to 'burn in'. After it burns in, it becomes more conductive and heat transfers from the heatspreader to the heatsink more efficiently.

  • LET ME JUST BE THE FIRST TO TELL EVERY1, YOU CAN NOT PREVENT THE RED RING OF DEATH, YOU CAN ONLY REPAIR IT... DOESNT MATTER HOW VENTILATED YOUR XBOX IS, ITS THE THERMAL PAST BETWEEN THE GPU AND ITS RADIATOR THAT CAUSE'S THE PROBLEM! THE RADIATOR PUSHES THE THERMAL PASTE OUT AS IT IS COMPRESSED AGAINST THE GPU, AND AS SOON AS THE RADIATOR TOUCHES THE GPU IT RED RINGS... THAT CAN NOT BE PREVENTED, NOT MATTER WHAT YOU DO TO STOP IT. THE PASTE CAN ALSO DRY UP, WHICH ALSO OVERHEATS THE XBOX 2 PROD.
