A set of reels commencing with "The Pidgeon on the Gate", played on concertina by Ernestine Healy from Claremorris, Co. Mayo, with accompaniment on the harp by Cathy Potter from Co. Armagh. This selection was recorded at the Comhaltas Tour of Ireland concert in Birr, Co. Offaly in October 2007. This ComhaltasLive video clip was originally posted in early 2008.

  • The 2nd tune is called Azel, and was written by Ernestine Healy.

  • I always enjoy the concertina but don't usually see it accompanied by a harp. I loved it!

  • A totally magnificent performance by 2 young musicians of evident charm and outstanding ability. Nice squeezebox too. (And I'm half Pom!)

  • love the song and the girl with the concertina =)

  • this sounds great but she looks sooo sad, yet the music is so happy

  • Great playing by both Ernestine and Cathy. Ernestine, who was your tutor/mentor? Also, can you please tell me the name of the second tune?
