A personal, uplifting story of Joe, who lives with Bipolar Disorder. Joe has had a strong recovery and has gotten back to living life to the fullest. He is an avid chess player, musician and volunteers with many mental health organizations.

Face to Face with Mental Wellness is a series of videos created by Alex Burr, a project designed to put a face to mental illness in the 21st Century. In partnership with Students for Mental Wellness (Vancouver-based non-profit) and The Lowdown (Vancouver-based mental health speakers bureau).

  • Hi Joe, great music, I really enjoyed it, I have a Dissociative Disorder, and am a Creative Healing Educator, looking at Creativity and it's healing effects, I have largely recovered from it, altho not totally, I love to sing and identify with what you are saying about music.
