This is the complete movie The Stranger (Straniero, Lo 1967). 11 parts in total make up the full movie. I previously posted the opening scene only and after numerous requests I'm posting the full movie. Straniero, Lo(The Stranger)an Italian movie directed by Luchino Visconti and starring Marcello Mastroianni as Arthur Meursault. This movie is based on Albert Camus' Nobel Prize winning masterpiece The Stranger. This is my favorite book of all time and the movie stays true to the novel. Enjoy guys. From one Camus lover to another.

  • Glad you enjoyed it.

  • I've always felt that if I watch a film based on the this book it would lose some of its integrity/some facts or my perspective on Meursault..but I was wrong, it fits perfectly..cheers dude from Azerbaijan

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it. I guess Mastroianni as Arthur Meursault is as good as it gets. Once I found out that Mastroianni was playing Meursault, I knew that this was one movie I had to see. Took a while to track down the movie but all is well that ends well. By the way, most definitely Azerbaijan is in the house.

  • I'm hoping youtube won't remove it. I'm not sure what the copyright the situation is for this picture but it's not like I'm making any money of this. All I'm doing is sharing it with others since it is such a hard movie to find. Let's hope youtube will have mercy on us.

  • My pleasure. Glad you liked it .

  • You are most welcome. Enjoy.

  • @AzeriNY This movie is exceptionally beautiful. I was introduced to the book by my high school teacher, he was thrown out of a some really respectable university for reason.. he either dint tell us or i simply forgot.. Anyways he died and for some reason i do an attachment to him. In any case I hope I can find somewhere to download this movie and if not i hope it stays on here.

  • @cocnoted or is it just in the film?

  • @AzeriNY wait, since when was Meursault's first name Arthur?

  • Did anyone recognize the guy who was playing the flute? He's played by the same actor who starred as the protagonist in Gillo Pontocorvo's "The Battle of Algiers" =D

  • many thanks for posting this. been wanting to see this for years now.

  • music sounds like Silent Hill
