  • BTW, one thing I do for exercise - I do "high intensity" interval training now instead of walking. I can do it in less time, and it's actually helped my diabetes MUCH more than walking did.

    And I recommend you watch juice- it spikes my sugar like crazy... I pretty much eat only berries for fruit and don't drink any juice.

    BTW, 12 oz of grape juice has more sugar than a pepsi... think about that =)

  • If you've got the opportunity, I strongly encourage you read Dr. Richard K. Bernstein's "Diabetes Solution" - which is a great book from a doctor that's lived with diabetes 63 years now.

    I've lost about 100lbs now on a low-carb diet - I don't starve myself and eat great foods. And my HbA1c level is now down to almost normal readings!

    Check out dietdoctor(dot)com for how I eat, or visit diabetesforum(dot)com to meet lots of good people with diabetes who can explain what worked for them.

  • good for you, that is the best thing to do, walking and changing your diet. i have it also.....it ain't no joke. and the sad part is, i don't know to many people that don't have diabetes. i will be praying for you.
