Billie McKenzie was the singer of The Associates. He was an 80's flamboyant singer mostly known by his spectacular voice and the style of his singing that were so grand, full on, so camp with a lovely touch of glam and diva! This video Skipping is amazing! We can see Billie and Alan Rankine both on stage with great style and Billie seems to have so much fun as he is battling with his singing and chewing some gum at the same time! An excellent and amazing moment!
Sadly Billie committed suicide on 22 Jan 97 at the age of 39y. His mother had passed away 6 months earlier...RIP Billy! 'missing you!
What do you think?

Ha ha ha he's chewing gum through 3/4s of the song...you can see hm take it out of his mouth and stick it under the chair. Love this song. Billie didn't care about being a star he just wanted to have fun and make great music, which he did.
