is it normal to feel stretching in your calf and hamstring on the eccentric phase? like it really pulls/stretches

Thank you, I am exercising at home and have read that single joint exersises are not as effective. I love my stability ball and this exercise will help a lot.

I prefer this with a one leg variation. Two legs is far too easy.

how long should we do it for results

You would include this as part of your leg workouts. As far as results you should see improvements from workout to workout in terms of being able to do more reps, use better form, etc.
