So basically, there is no such thing as cause and effect?

If it doesn't rain on my crops, it's not because the wind didn't push the cloud, nor because there was no cloud formed; it's really my fault, completely?

How can I explain this to my family? "You have nothing to eat because I had bad thoughts..." What if they answer me : "We all had good thoughts; doesn't that compensate?"? Should I answer : "No because this was my field and I had the "universal" responsibility.

It seem so complicate!
