  • someone please respond to me

is the rob arms xcr only full auto?

how do you get a civilian legal version??

  • I replied to your inquiry just a few minutes ago via mail. Hope that helps!

To everyone else: yes, there are civilian-legal, semi-auto versions of the XCR available.

  • Video title says this rifle lost to the FN SCAR, truth is it was disqualified because Robinson Arms forgot to include a blank firing adapter when they sent the package for testing. So once again, an inferior rifle wins out over a stupid technicality.

  • You are correct, sir. I was just trying to convey a very simple message about the rifle. If someone did a simple search on the subject, they would have discovered this fact.

In my opinion, Robinson clearly made a superior carbine.

  • @jedirifleman The M16 has had numerous upgrades over the years. The original M16 issued during Vietnam was absolute crap. No chrome lined barrel, no forward assist, and the fire rate was so high that soldiers had to tweak with the recoil spring to slow it down which led to most of the reliability problems. After years of fixes the M16 is a good rifle. The AK was good to begin with, and the AK74 is even better since it fires a smaller, faster round, the accuracy is on par with the M16.

  • @andpinger It's an assault rifle, by definition it's select fire. Like most military grade rifles made nowadays there is a semi automatic only, civilian legal version.

  • Please do yourself a favor and save yourself some money, time and frustration and pick a different weapon. I made the unfortunate decision to purchase an XCR and it has been nothing but trouble. The most aggravating thing of all is their service has been the worst that I have had the misfortune to try and use.

  • you got your facts wrong zr0chance...The AR-10 is an American 7.62 mm battle rifle developed by Eugene Stoner in the late 1950s at ArmaLite, then a division of the Fairchild Aircraft Corporation....it was the platform turned into the M16 for the wiz kids at the pentagon who wanted a smaller caliber.

  • zr0chance,

believe that hype if you want cause excuses are a dime a dozen and the maximum effective range of an excuse is 0.00 meters THEY FAILED...PERIOD.

  • the soviets replacet the AK47 in 1974 after only 27 years....the M16 marches on after almost 50 years service as the most prolific service rifle in United States history.

  • not a "fanboy" and i wouldnt insult you by calling you a "knife boy"...just as you are a knifesmith i am a gunsmith and i have been involved in govt. weapons testing since 1988 when i got out of the 82nd ABN DIV....having fired over 15 million documented rounds of govt ammo in LAT's (lot acceptance tests) i think i know a thing or 2...this xcr is like the scar and all the others that were supposed to replace the M16...they are just a flash in the pan.

  • believe that if you want but the AR is here to stay...the issue isnt with the AR but with the ammos terminal performance and operator maintenance.....these widows are made by hype of "it never needs to be cleaned" propaganda much like you express here about the xcr...everything mechanical fails eventually without proper maintenance..the xcr isnt a military weapon because it hasnt passed the testing...by any country on earth that i am aware of so dont put your eggs all in one basket quite yet....
