This is some footage of my buddy Frank's models that he took out to the field yesterday evening. The first one is a scale model DH2 which is a great little flier. Check out the details like the custom made four bladed prop, spring aileron control and spare Lewis gun cartridges.
The second model is his Gotha bomber, made with the same attention to detail. Flies like a pig apparently, which I imagine is true to the original as well.
The third is a four ounce scale L-19 built from a German rubber model kit. This is a real gem, a stable flier that handles the grass runway like a champ. Frank is an air traffic controller in COmox, and the full scale plane is a tow plane for the Air Cadet Gliding School that operates at the that airport.
Nice & Smooth

Looks alittle underpowered! But awesome plane!

The four bladed prop turned out to be a little slower than the APC he was using before. He's going to make another one with another inch of pitch.

Thanks Brian!!!!! Just a note about the L-19 kit - It's acutally American made - Herr Engineering kits are made by Sig now.

I don't know why I thought a company called Herr Engineering might be German... ;)
