dunno how he did but i would just hit a low e harmonic and play around with the wah till you get the sound you like, another trick is a pick slide with wah, sounds pretty crazy

turn down the volume nob, bend the note and play it, then turn the volume nob slowly back up while releasing the bend and moving the wah pedal forward at the same time... sounds more complicated that it really is trust me, it is not difficult
