September 22nd, 2009 - Today there were at least five or six species of ants undergoing their nuptial flights. It hasn't rained for over two weeks and it finally rained last night and early this morning which made for an extraordinarily warm and humid day, perfect for the allates to fly and mate one last time before the onset of cooler Fall weather.

@AntsCanada i was thinking of raising an ant colony but what do you do during nuptial flight? i dont want ants flying around my house and my mom wouldnt like that at all :/
