Hello friends, this is my very first tutorial. I wanted to create this for CGTUTS but i couldn't that's why i am uploading this tutorial here, In this tutorial i will teach you the correct lighting of an interior scene using mentalray with correct dimensions,
I will teach you the quick setup of lighting in 3ds max and we can use this setup with any Interior day scene.
Whether you know autocad or not i will teach you a very simple way to understand the drawing so that you can make your scene in correct dimensions in the max itself.

Note:- The modeling parts is for Beginners and the Materials & Rendering parts is for Intermediate artists.

  • @2010arief You can download Mental-ray materials from mrmaterialsdotcom. But make sure you use them properly to get the appropriate results. However these textures can be made in Photoshop.

  • how come sometime when i import a 3d object from autocad it is deformed in 3ds max? how can i edit it so it can return to its proper form?

  • @IPINALUGO Hi there, It's called deviations, When you import the object in 3ds max, one panel will come up, there is an option in that panel called deviations, (down to weld vertices option), minimum numbers will increase the smoothness and curves steps of the object.

Note : Do check your scale settings while typing deviation units.

  • its easy to render when i create model house in autocad..?

  • @nanokx yes, whatever software you use, 3ds max only wants a proper solid form, nothing else.
