TURN UP YOUR SOUND FOR THIS VIDEO!! Nice day for flying at the fairgounds in Salem Oregon. I spun up my Gaui Hurricane 550 and attempted a loop in idle up mode. The problem was that in NORMAL mode, my heli runs at 85% throttle at center stick while hovering. My throttle curve in IDLE UP mode was set to 90-85-80-85-90 which means I had 80% power at center stick. I put a huge load on the motor of this helicopter while attempting the loop and the heli stalled while inverted before I could right myself. You can hear the motor bog down like a toad and the rotor blades dig into the wind hard as I barely recovered from this manuever. The video was blurry because it all happened so fast as the heli came within 2 feet of hitting the ground. Please turn up your sound to get the full effect of how close this became to almost being a nasty crash. Enjoy!
one word... simulator.... and balance those blades aye?

Nice! Great save! Nothing beats the adrenaline rush like a near miss. :)
You're doing good to overcome that confidence barrier and getting inverted. I was shaking like hell the first time I ever did a loop. You could actually see my hands shaking and for the first time in my life had shaking knees. Once you get that slight taste of 3D, it's all the more addicting.
