The first day after surgery TLS CoLS fixation : no crutches, no brace, total weight bearing. This is a revision case : the graft (only one tendon, 4 strands, semitendinosus) has been harvested on the other thigh.
Premier jour post opératoire : En raison de la solidité du montage TLS, pas de cannes, pas d'attelle, appui total. Ce cas est une ré-opération en raison de l'échec d'une autre technique plusieurs années auparavant, aussi la greffe (un seul tendon, le "semi tendineux" préparé en quadruple faisceau ) a été prélevée sur l'autre cuisse.

C'est une évolution du DIDT : un seul tendon est prélevé au lieu de deux et la fixation est tres solide ce qui autorise la marche immédiate comme chez ce patient.

Thxs for your comments ! This technique is used in France since 7 years with an increasing popularity in Europe. The rehab is easier, the return to work faster but it does'nt shorten the return to high energy sports.

About 10 % of the ACL reconstructions in France are operated with TLS (More than 3000 TLS each year).

This technique is FDA approved and will very soon start in the US.
