RC boating is easier than ever to get into, thanks to quality RTR boats from Pro Boat. These boats all come out of the boxes with the hulls completed, electronics installed, engine mounted and radio system ready to go. One step that is left up to the end-user, however, is to grease the flex shaft. While this may seem like a daunting task, it is actually quite easy for just about anyone to complete. The process has been broken down into a few simple steps to demonstrate how to lube the flex shaft on a Pro Boat Formula FASTech Brushless boat, however, these steps should be relatively similar for just about any boat you might own.

  • I have a question about the boat.....are the decals just a sticker over a white paint??? or are they painted on.

  • @rccarfreak0011 Depends on the boat. On the FASTech here those are decals I believe.

  • My retaining nut became sizzling hot within 30 seconds and the boat could not propel itself again until it cooled off. Is this a major sign of me needing to grease the flex shaft? And what grease should I use?

  • @lancer2589 Something is bound up and causing excessive friction.
