I agree with you sister, that the Lord Jesus only died once not twice, it was a physical death only, not a spiritual death, the Lord Jesus is the propitiation for our sins as scripture says, he did NO sin neither was guile found in His mouth, He was the offering for sin not the offering of sin. the Doctrine of "Substitution" is very different from the doctrine of "Identification" which is what the modern understanding in not only word faith movement but generally in Christians churches at large

@MrUrimthummim -you are quite correct, my error, a bad choice of words...something I could not quite actually put into words at the time of making the video, and I chose the wrong word.

Jesus did not become sin on the cross, he was the lamb of God for sin taking the punishment for sin. if he became sin he could not have been the lamb of God taking the punishment for sin and he could not have rose from the dead, the solder said surly this was a righteous man and the thief on the cross said this man has done nothing wrong So why do people keep saying jesus took on himself evil ? this is a lie! the truth is he took the punishment for our sin NOT our sin nature

@bibliosca -Amen brother!

@Testallthings -Amen to that it surely is heresy
You are mistaken in one aspect. God wasn't "appeased" by the death of Christ on the cross. That's actually a very "pagan" way in and of itself to describe the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Christ died the "second death" on the cross as He was separated from His heavenly Father. God didn't need Jesus' death on the cross to reconcile the world back to Him....we did! Romans 5:8-11

@YouAreIsrael -I could have chosen better verbage, you are correct. No the second death is for those who reject Christ in this life. Jesus didn't need to die a second death. You are correct it is us who needed to be reconciled to God through the death of Christ.

@ASeedSower234 - The dead "in Christ" will be in the first resurrection. "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power..." (Rev 20:6). Those who are not "in Christ" will be in the second resurrection and will die the second death. (Rev 20:14). Thus it is easy to see that those "in Christ" will not die the "second death."
If Jesus hadn't come there would be only one death and that death would have been eternal.

@YouAreIsrael -I wish to reitterate my use of the word appeased in this video, as the fact is known that Christ is put forth by God to be the "propitiation" through faith in his blood, for us...see Romans 3:25 and when you take the time to look up the word "propitiation", it means to apease to concilliate....
