  • its because I care about animals that I despise the idea of not coursing. its good for the hares as a whole and its great for the dogs. there is nothing inhumane or humane about it, its just a dog doing what a dog does, and a hare doing what a hare does. your viewpoint is detached and literally sickens me, you aren't qualified to discuss this matter, as proven by your own ignorant comments.

  • looks like a lot oh fun

  • thanks mate. did you find dooggylovers comments as funny as i did? I love the one about 'no shit they need exercise' in response to my comment about certain breeds being healthier than others. love how she missed the point completely.

exercise keeps a pet healthy, work keeps a breed strong and sound. any true dog lover knows this, would you agree lettersonapostcard?

  • @morgasm657 completely agree . A hare is a prey animal. It's eyes are set well back on either side of its head so that it can spot impending danger. It is not as fast but can turn tighter that than a greyhound. This is what stacks up the odds in favour of the hare.

  • how can it be inhumane to hunt? its what makes us human. not hunting is unhuman. and people are too soft about a little bit of suffering, deaths a part of life, accept it. you see this is where our point of view are different, you think its better to kill something outright with a gun, i think its better to give the animal the chance of freedom with a dog, also it ensures a healthy breeding population. hunting with dogs is proven to be more environmentally sound than the use of guns.

  • no mate because the people that provide the land for the hares are estate owners, they are a pest for farmers, the only reason they are not extinct in this country is because money can be made from the hunting of them, banning coursing has made them essentially worthless. whereas on coursing ground they are protected and numbers increase. now they are simply another pest. when they go extinct you can give yourself and all your 'know nothing do-gooder' friends a pat on the back.

  • yeah, hares owe there continued existence in this country to coursing estates that give them a home. banning coursing is basically signing the hares death warrant. congrats on not understanding how the world works.

  • You can save the 10-20 hares if you let them lure course instead. There is no difference, unless the owner is brutal.

  • @dooggyloover well, i think it is inhumane to hunt 2 but its really inhumane cuz the animals are beig killed by the dogs. they dont die right away!!!!

  • @dooggyloover define humane... shooting hares with shotguns is legal and humane, but many more hares are injured and suffer for longer than in the jaws of a greyhound or the hands of a picker up. also - days hare coursing - total bag 10-20 hares, days hare shooting - total bag 200 - 300 hares, much more opportunity for injured hares.

  • @morgasm657 well no shit they need exercise and stuff but have u ever heard og LURE COURSING!!! its the HUMANE type of coursing, unlike letting the dogs chase and attack the poor animals they use for the LURE!!!! if u cared for animals at all, u would agree w/ me that this is completely inhumane
