  • is this clip actually from the rubber guard dvd?

  • nope...taken from a seminar

  • i have one dout, you now how is nino shembri .. when eddie was a white belt .. nino used the gogoplata... and another moves the lokdown is very older you see old mma in brazil you will see that... so i think if nino used those tecniques 20 years ago eddie invented that 10 years ago .. interesting.

  • Nino is in fact younger than Eddie and 'inventing' is the wrong word to use. There is a long back story with Eddie and Nino as well.

  • ok this is very effective move. but not the twister.. false advertising! good move tho

  • @R10CHA Eddie never claimed to "invent" anything.. Except for the rubber gaurd variations.. He even says himself he invented the rubber gaurd variations, and other than that he named the positions in BJJ that didnt have names already. If you watched the rubber gaurd dvd he even gives credit to the lockdown as an old judo control. that he learned frm someone at JJ machado's school. He never claimed to Invent moves.. just different ways to get to thm

  • @ceeb40 thanks4info, greetings from austria

  • @puschmannn The deep leg hook and the arm control are the setup for the twister.

  • @Submissions101 i first saw the twister in MARIO SPERRY'S VALE TUDO SERIES 1 instructional videos back in 1996. but sperry did it from the side mount.

  • i can´t see the twister here, i just see a calf-crusher...?

  • it had much merit to finish Royler Gracie, but he used techniques of Jean Jacques Machado, that transition to the triangle. Much more other people bring to jiu jitsu rather than eddie bravo development, like Gordo, devoloped the half guard that in today's mma and grappling very important, or ricardo de La riva had a guard, or Flavio berhing who developed his guard too
