I'm assuming that the objective of the players in the game is purely keep away. Have you ever tried implementing this with multiple goals around the area's perimeter? I've done drills like this as a player and remember goals adding an extra incentive as well as practically forcing players to play less compacted. However, there is a fine line between encouraging open offense and encouraging goal poachers/cherry pickers etc. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on this.
