I agree. I think it's a personal preferrence that cannoy be quantified in any way. It's like choosing Van Cliburn over Rubenstein, both great, do it differently. For that matter, gauged by impact Paul Potts gets it done too! Puccini, there's the master.

Caruso,Fleta,De Lucia,Masini e ancora più di 50 tenori avevano voci deliziose, magnifiche,erano veri Tenori.
Mi ricordo le voci degli anni 50-60,in questi anni cantavano tenori con voci splendide!
Dopo Caruso era Masini;dopo Masini era Del Monaco;dopo Del Monaco era Domingo;
dopo Domingo è un disastro.Con l'arrivo di Domingo,Pava e Carreras la commedia è finita!
Giusto hai ragione!

@jooshiscrazy No disrespect to the late Pavarotti, but I've not heard anyone who can match the liquidity of Domingo's voice or the passion of this great tenor.
