2011 July 13 Weekly Race Series Soldier Hollow Biathlon XC Mountain Bike Race

This is the unedited video of my race at the Weekly Race Series Soldier Hollow Biathlon XC mountain bike race in Midway, Utah, on July 13, 2011.

This was the infamous shooting biathlon where racers ride into the Olympic shooting range after every lap of the course. At the end of my 3rd race lap my front tire went flat from a cut sidewall and I crashed on a turn into the shooting range. I took my shots and then ran my bike to my car, fitting a 26 wheel onto my 29er. I completed one more lap of the race course, but the shooting range was closed by then and my race was over.

My category did 5 laps, but I only did 4 laps of the race course and 3 stops at the shooting rage, for a total of about 5.5 miles with about 400 feet of climbing.
