NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Band Box 237) Out of Denver, Colorado, talk about obscure.......The tiny Band Box record company didn't even credit the writers of the tune on the label, William Olofson, Warren Barker and Terry Galanoy. This 1962 release is a cover and re-working of the 1959 holiday Warner Bros. single by Edd 'Kookie' Byrnes originally entitled, 'Yulesville'. While there is absolutely no information to be found about Mr. Larson, at least his recorded beatnick recitation of 'The Night Before Christmas' came with an equally rare picture sleeve showing us just how cool he was with dark shades and cigarette in hand.

  • ...bein' pulled by eight dogs who were wearin' hatracks...

Thank you Eddie G. for introducing me to this record, and thank you Reichard for posting it here.

  • @thegrammarfairy It was Eddie G who introduced this record to me as well.

  • ...classic & awesome! ...way out!

  • I'm so super, like, psyched to find this holiday fave on here!

  • This is good, but for the last 40+ years, I've listened to Edd "Kookie" Byrnes version from 1959. It's waaayyy smoother.
