It amazes me when an artist can take an existing song of theirs (or anyone's), and change it so much. When I hear a song repeatedly, the structure is so ingrained in my brain, I find it very difficult to think of it any other way. But...I guess that's what separates people like Sufjan from me!

i've never heard this live. i actually prefer the studio version. but it's nice to see him perform it.

It was fun to see it live, but different to hear it with a guitar. He spent like 2 minutes at the beginning of the video (I clipped it) trying to get his guitar working, too. Haha.
