  • I also have one they another company (davison) stole, i submited it twice, once in 2005-6 and once again 2010, i have proof it is mine.Something told me to search it up, and i did and found a page where it has my invention in a picture, but it is a full life size model, and it is exactly like my drawing of my invention, and it says copy written in 2012 and it has the same exact name as my invention, what can i do, these companies steal so much! and they are stealing my hard work. :{

  • @Rockstar212911 Whilst that is bad (and I believe Davison were sued/paid out $26 Million to Inventors in 2006), you need to get organised. This can only happen if you are not doing the right things to get your idea protected. I learnt how to patent from scratch after a serious injury and have the best program in the world for how to understand (or even write) your own patent- in your situation, you would benefit hugely and it comes with 5 bonuses. Google Patents Untranslated. Link in description

  • I have a few inventions that have been stolen in the last 10 years, and after i've submitted them, but i did'nt have the money to pay for the patent, including one that is used in car's all over the world, and even the new version of this is in my submitted invention, remember the invention commercial where they promis you a free patent? yea, that company, i submitted it, and they sent me a certificate, but after they slole it they called me & told me to tare up the certificate, i still have it.

  • @Rockstar212911 Sorry to hear that. From now on I recommend you use this video to get patent-pending free- it gives you a whole year before you need to get the full patent done and it's 100% safe because your patent is with a patent office rather than you giving the idea to anyone else. Don't worry about the past- just make sure you get it done right from now. If you want any advice, feel free to message or add shiine.enterprise on skype. I'm an Inventor and will give you the correct advice.

  • @ShiineEnterprise (part 2) And if you already have the photo's digitally on your computer (or can upload them via a digital camera or smartphone (whichever you used to take the pictures on), it's as easy as 'right-clicking' them and hitting 'copy'. Then paste them into microsoft word and 'save as' PDF.

  • @HowtoTow Hi. Phot's are not ideal. You definitely don't have to do hand-drawn pictures- they could be computer generated, rendered, etc. Because it's a provisional, (which doesn't have to be ultra professional) you could scan the photo into your computer on against a white A4 background, then use my video 'sketch to PDF' to get it into microsoft Word and convert to PDF. It can at least serve as an 'extra' picture, but I wouldn't rely fully on it. Do a couple of sketches as well if possible.

  • @ShiineEnterprise Thanks for the reply. I have been working on a description all day and I have images that I have been working on but they are photos's and not drawings. I don't quite understand the image requirements yet. As I understand it I can not submit photo's. Must submit hand drawings. I am wondering why I have to draw a image if I already have a prototype made and the images are much better than I could ever draw? Am I correct about this? Thanks

  • @HowtoTow All that is needed for a provisional is one document- a PDF of a description. If you want to very quickly convert hand-drawn sketches to PDF for provisionals there's a video on my channel that shows how to do it. It shows the same Invention we use in Patents Untranslated. Feel free to check the website on Shiine Enterprise(dot)com Work is ongoing and the portfolio section's getting a makeover! Includes Discshine also featured in PU. Happy idea'ing. All the best.

  • @HowtoTow No you do not have to provide images, but if it enhances the understanding of your invention or concept then it is always a good idea. To help you decide whether to include images just think like this- when it comes time to handing in your full application, if you are going to claim that early filing date of your provisional, any aspects you get the early filing date for must be EXPLICIT in the provisional. If drawings make it clear and show important points, great.

  • I noticed on your .pdf file that you mentioned fig. 1 and fig. 2 for images but I didn't see you submit any images. Should images be sent on provisionals? Will it protect your idea more? Are there requirements for images?
