Isaiah Mays was laid to rest 89 years later in Arlington after being buried in an unmarked grave behind Arizona State Hospital in 1925. In the 90's Bill McCurtis and his Buffalo Soldiers group planted grass and got a headstone erected. In 2008 the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Arizona started a pettition to get Mr. Mays moved to the AZ State Capital. When word spread, Ron Epich of Old Guard Riders contacted Missing in America Project and on May 22, 2009 a cross country journey began by motorcycle to escort Corporal Mays to Arlington where he was laid to rest on May 29, 2009. The following video is a clip from this ceremony.
