  • @PinkPunkyKat because under the Americans With Disabilities Act, a service animal must have trained tasks in order to qualify. While lizards can be conditioned to do certain things, they can not be reliably trained to perform defined tasks.

  • Why are the only accepted serice animals dogs? Other animals are used but are not accepted. I have a bearded dragon to prevent panic attacks but people give me trouble because she's a lizard. Lizards are not the proper service animal for everyone but neither are dogs.
