Prayers to every single soul in harms way, in every country that is dealing with hardships right now. True. we residents of QLD have dealt with much recently, but there are many others worldwide suffering too. Lets remember we are all human, and these events show us that there truely is no difference :-) All the best to my fellow QLDers and to everyone else suffering right now..

@maddtrumpet No, hurricanes spin counterclockwise and only happen in the northern hemisphere. Cyclones spin clockwise and only happen in the southern hemisphere. But they are similar. I am trying to find bids of a hurricane or cyclone crossing the equator.

the storm was of course worse than this with it becoming a cat 5 storm and with 300 kph winds. The good news is it spared Cairns and we wait to see how bad the areas of tully and mission beach. Luckily no loss of life is being reported yet but is early.
