Rene is a well known voice actor. He was a major utlity player at Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. for over 30 years.

Prosthetics from what I've heard. Rene said in an interview he could peel his whole face of smoothly, so I'm assuming they'd use that. It's hard to get latex that smooth and wax is sort of heavy.

I knew that Odo's voice was not Rene's. See the French cook in Disney's "Little Mermaid"; that's also Rene. It's just ODD seeing Odo, Rene in full makeup, not doing the Odo voice, but in fact Rene's own voice. It's a culture shock.

It's so strange listening to Rene's normal voice when he's in Odo makeup. It's amazing how much control and versatility he brings to Odo.
