people the suit protected him from the shrapnel and blast but it was the shockwave that killed him. being that close it would be like a sledge hammer to the entire back of your body...

@potatoclan The suit is real sturdy.. It basically was like a concrete room... being meters from the explosion, the shock wave entered the suit... but couldn't leave... The force was probably like getting by a mack truck at speed.. and that might be taking it easy.. Underwater shrapnel doesn't go far but the concussive force of a hand grenade is enough to seriously hurt you in a large sized pool.

@MrHockeystar15 A WWII paratrooper was split in half 1 ans 1/2 miles away from a german homemade TNT bomb by shrapnel and thank you for your brothers sacrifice he died for me to get teh chance to live to be a Marine

@xycircaxy Sounds reasonable. Also the inner ear can be ruptured, causing internal bleeding and inflammation in the cranial cavity. All of this is bad news.

The man died. drum777skate your a selfish piece that should go to hell. my brother died doing that job and he was outside the killzone by a mile now anyone who thinks being that far away from a bomb wont kill you cuz it will. he was put in half by the shock wave and the iraqies arent stupid they know war.anyone one who doesnt believe that shit cant kill you, grow a pair and i wanna see you serve our country like my brother did
