The opposite way round actually - Goodall was commissioned to write this as the theme tune. It became so popular that he extended the arrangement (the 'Yea, though I walk...' section) and recorded it with Christ Church College, Oxford choir, before having the arrangement published, and it is now sung worldwide.
Well, it was originally intended as a piece of choral music, but was first used in the Vicar of Dibley. It has since been frequently used in choral productions (interestingly, the theme is originally sung by a choir at King's).
My choir is the best.

I am certain. The words are MUCH older than the piece, being taken from Psalm 23.

Very nice, who wouldn't want to be in such a choir? A bit odd with Igor wandering about. But nice

Are you sure? Well, of course it's sung worldwide, but I just wondered
