Many Muslims know of Ahmed Deedat (died 2005) who attacked the Bible and the Christian faith in debates and a large number of publications. But most are not aware that John Gilchrist has written several books and booklets giving a thorough Christian response to Deedat's material as well as on other topics of importance in the dialog between Christians and Muslims.

It's interesting that you looked up John through that Answering Islam site. It says in the first page how there is no compulsion of religion in Islam, why didn't you see that? lol Anyway...

I'm going to look into John Gilchrist because I'm always interested in individuals who talk or debate in comparative religion, so thanks for dropping that name.

Let me add that Ahmed never once attacked the bible. He would take the claims made ( Like Jesus being God ), go into the bible, show the text of what & where it says, then shows how it didn't mean what people have been made to believe.

If you've watched any of his debates, lectures, etc. he is known to do what?

He takes the text, reads it the way it is then puts it into example. Or, brings to light translations or revisions that were changed around.

If he were attacking, he'd say "The Bible is a lie!"

Instead he shows how people misunderstand it, he never said don't believe it.
