The Springfield G.I. is an awesome clone of the orininal M1911 A1. I give a little show and tell on the pistol and also some history on Springfield Armory and on John Moses Browning.

  • Beautiful 1911. I'm always looking for Springfield Mil Spec 1911 vids just so I can look at the thing... Guess I should just buy one. Would you happen to know if Springfield has discontinued the shorter GI model? Can't find it on their website anymore.

  • @FlyingPancreas Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas. I am not sure about the G.I. model but will find out. Thanks again and if I have not got back to you say in a week, please if you remember, remind me. I will be able to find out though if I can remember. It stinks getting old. lol. : )

  • @BigJ782011 I hear ya. I love all guns. : )

  • @ChromeFreak123 I was think if one made in America woukd be good to buy because your hard earned money is putting money into the American economy. Then I was think the Italian one beacuse Beretta is an Italian company and getting one from the country of orgin would be more genunie and might have the original quality like an American 1911 (preferribly Colt). But I would get a 92FS that was made in America to help out the economy.

  • @BigJ782011 It really would not matter to me as long as the quality control was the same in both countries but would prefer the American because it helps employ Americans. Thanks. : )

  • @ChromeFreak123 I know Springfield 1911s are nice looking but when I am over 21 I want my first .45 ACP to be a 1911 that is Made in America/ USA. If all 1911 where made in foreign countries, I wound hold of on them cuz a 1911 is an American gun. If that was the case my first .45 ACP would be a H&K/ HK USP-45. I would pay top dollar for a higher end foreign made firearm, espically one made in Germany. And I got question, "What would you get a Beretta 92FS that was made in America or Italy?"

  • @nchau78666 I completely agree with you, I love all guns and some of my favorites are Eastern Block firearms. Thanks. : )

  • @BigJ782011 I am a big buy American guy but the Springfield is not a piece of crap, it is a really nice affordable 1911. I do wish Springfield would be honest though and stop trying to make people believe that they are the original Springfield when they are not, they just bought the rights to the name but in no way shape or form are they the Springfield Armory that was a US government arsenal. Their guns are nice though. Thanks bro... : )

  • @ChromeFreak123

In the end my friend, it doesn't matter where the gun come from. As long as it keeps going bang each time you pull the trigger, that gun will have some love. I love the garand, the M1A, the M16, but I also love the enfield, the AK-47, Arisaka, etc.

Happiness is a warm gun. :D

  • @ChromeFreak123 Thank you for tell me that Springfield doesn't make handguns in the United States. Now I know to get a Real American 1911 after I turn 21 not a foreign made piece of shit. A 1911 was made in the US not in a foreign country. If I had a hard time finding an American made 1911, I will get a HK USP45 instead good foreign quality.
