LCD computer video display monitor screens and LCD tv displays scratch easily because the are made of soft plastic. I accidentally scratched a 9 inch diagonal gouge in my 19" Samsung monitor, and happened on a free and easy way to reduce or remove the scratches with cardboard. The screen had a very visible dark gouge from top right to lower left that is now invisible.

  • What about a LCD monitor?

  • @garrynoman it worked on my Samsung LCD Monitor. If it's plastic, it may work on any monitor.

  • this is great information about the cardboard, although i haven't tested it yet but I appreciate the idea as i was wondering about what i could use as an abrasive and pointed it out right away. love it when that happens.

Anyways thanks for the info one again.

  • Never mind, it works on LED too, you my friend are a genius and a scholar. You just saved me at least 300 dollars on a new hd monitor. Thank you so much!

  • what about LED?

  • Did you rub along the scratch or in the opposite direction of it? I have a semi-deep scratch in the middle of my screen that's really annoying on light colors.

  • LED**
