Here's an example of how some straight ballad singers took a stab at this new thing called Rock'n'Roll..from RCA Records 1957 there were also versions by Don Cornell and Andy Griffith..

  • I'm interested to discover that at least two "real" versions of this song were recorded, since I've always thought that the one by Andy Griffith heard in "A Face In The Crowd" sounds good enough to have been released.

  • @Andymanpr And this version also sounds like the one used the movie. It sounded like in the movie they had Andy's song guitared up a bit like this one. I stumbles on this move in 2010 and it's amazing how stuff in that movie still happens today, Viagra and all the rest got the idea from that movie I think. Sell a sugar pill based on crazy advertising.

  • This song came from the movie A Face in the Crowd, sung by Andy Griffith, and it was probably meant to be a parody of rock 'n roll. But it's still fun, and Julius definitely rocks on it.
