This is just a video showing my progress on the piece. I just received my school euphonium 2 days ago and this is the second day of me playing an instrument this big! I play trumpet so the fingerings are the same, just not the buzzing!ha But, I'm playing it in the schools concert band next year so I got to get practicing!!

  • Wow that's excellent considering it's your second day of the switch.

What make/model is that? I've only ever seen one euph where all four valves were all on the top (as opposed to the fourth on the side); that was a King 2280.

  • @squiresuzuki I believe it was a yamaha. Not sure what model it was though.

  • Yeah that was roughly 3 months ago. I don't have the best quality camera, and if you have watched my other videos you'd know that.

It was my 2nd day so bear with me.

    Thanks for the tip though

  • @TDG1919 YEP-321s

  • @squiresuzuki Looks like a yamaha yep 321

Compensating euphoniums that have the 4th on the side are what the pros use. Most makes have both versions with all valves on top or with the 3 on top with the 4th on the side.

Check out wwbw.com if you want to browse around.

  • I played this for a audition! :D 3 out of 10! woot woot! :D

  • i play a four key euphonium and mine is alot bigger!!!

  • dude wtf

  • i think this is pretty good for 2 days i'm also a trumpet player who move to euphonium and i can say for sure it's not that eazy

  • that is odd :/ trumpets usually have a better sound when they transfer over to euphonium... oh well.. good try, but i am sure you can get a much better tone than that.. open up your chops as much as you can and take much bigger and fuller breaths so that your sound is warmer and darker.
