Here's a cool car all by itself -- the 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass S. Hugger orange with black striping, bright chrome bumpers, a rear spoiler and a lower price tag than big brother 442s. Not only is the car in great shape, but it has the power and performance to knock your socks off. In the early 1970s, the muscle car war was in full swing, and not everyone was happy about it. Lawmen, parents and insurance companies were all cracking down on monster big blocks. This Cutlass is one of the reasons why.

So how does our Cutlass stack up? Quite well, thank you! The paint is new and glossy, the stripes are perfect, and the bumpers are straight, clean, and shiny. The body is as straight as a gun barrel, and the panel gaps are beautiful. The Cutlass S grille is in excellent shape, as are the lights. The chrome is in excellent shape as is the stainless trim. Raise the hood and you will find the beautiful big block motor. Its sporting an Oldsmobile 455, bored to 468, and is full of horsepower. The aluminum radiator, Torker series aluminum Edelbrock intake and headers are worth several hundred dollars by themselves! Orange paint covers the motor while smooth satin black does the same for the rest of the compartment. The motor fires up willingly and runs great!

It's got a built Chevy 350 automatic transmission and a Hurst console shifter as a companion. There's a new exhaust system with 3" tail pipes. A 12 bolt posi Locker rear end finishes it all off. Power steering and front power disc brakes give this Cutlass one smooth and enjoyable ride. The undercarriage is solid, extremely clean and rust free.

The new interior includes comfortable seats with 4 point harness seat belts, a Hurst shifter and a new set of gauges mounted in the center of the dash. The carpets are in beautiful shape as well as the headliner. The lights, wipers and gauges are all in great working order.
