do you own the lND YOU TRAP?

@Coonhunting321
I am assuming you meant: Do you own the land you trap?
I do own land and I do trap on it, but most of my trapping happens on other people’s private land. I recommend going around and start knocking on doors. Show them the dog proof traps you are going to be using, and make sure you actually use them if you say you are. There is also state and federal land you can trap, but be careful, you cannot use conibear traps on it. Be smart about trapping on other peoples land.

what causes the trap to set off?

@4986hunterofsouth
If you are using large marshmallows under the trigger, the marshmallows will actually expand causing the trigger to be set off. Otherwise mice might be getting by without being caught.
