Prop Noisemaker Paint Can with Hardware Halloween Yard Haunt

This is a simple, yet effective, noisemaker is made out of a small paint can, spray painted black, with three holes drilled into the lid to accommodate three screws to fasten the lid tight.

The noise is made but putting any amount of a variety of hardware pieces inside, such as nuts, bolts, washers, and maybe screws. The combination of different sizes and weights of the pieces make for a scary, alarming sound and less of a mariachi shaker sound. It also sounds different depending on how you hold it as evidence by the video.

NOTE: Be careful using these in a Halloween Yard Haunt display setting. They really can scare Trick-or-Treaters of all ages unexpectedly. It's fun, but you don't want to startle anyone to the point where they jump and somehow get hurt.

I was introduced to this idea at Cedar Point's annual HalloWeekends Event where the haunted houses and Screamsters in the outdoor scare zones, such as the Fright Zone, provide effective, fun scares with these simple noisemakers.

I had trouble getting the washers out of the paint can. I didn't edit that out. It's kind of comical.
