Canon also manufactures small micro-fibre lens wiping clothes, these are extra fine in structure and somewhat expensive but very nice for clear parts.

well yes regular car wax works just fine , i use soft 99 wax its a japenese brad car wax and works fines , i even use automotive rubbing compound or finer 3M compound to smooth out the paint and remove orange peel from my models , hope it helped u

thanks great vids! any tips on polishing/removing molding lines and scratches from canopies and other clear parts?

Oh good question. You can sand them back with progressively finer sanding pads starting from about 1200 and work up to 12000. Then give them a dunk in some Future floor polish and you'll have crystal clear canopies guaranteed.
